Jesus, as each Devotion presents its own subject and message, help me be ready for it. As each series lays out its own theme that helps me be able to grow in my relationship with You and my heavenly Father, help my heart be receptive to it. Let each devotion build on the previous one, so I can grow spiritually. Let each series build on the one I just finished. Let this help me grow in a purposeful and meaningful way. Help me understand what I need to learn, so I will be ready for You to teach me the next truth.

Jesus, if I learn better by hearing things, then open my ears. If I learn best by seeing things, then open my eyes. If I learn best by doing things, then give me opportunities to apply all those things I am seeing and hearing. Let Your truths come to me from all these areas and methods, so they will assist me no matter what way is my best way to learn. Let the greatest way for me to to learn, grow, and be changed, be by You creating these thing in me. Just like You spoke to the wind and it changed, speak through the audio, the text, and through my times of prayer. Use it all to make sure I get all my needs met.

Jesus, let the picture illustrations lead me into all that You are teaching and making me into. Let the audio help my heart hear things that will help it be healed and changed. Open my heart to Your message. Help me go far beyond the visual and the auditory. As I am listening, reading, and experiencing, make it all a powerful message that helps me get my needs met.

Jesus, when the message segment, that is presented before I start on my first day’s devotion, is a prayer, help me join in with that prayer and make it mine. I reach out to You and let You show me how to pray a long with the prayer, so I can ask for those things in the prayer. Help me belive that You are responding to that prayer and giving me those things it and I am asking for.

Jesus, take the weekly devotional notes and help me see the big picture, before I get started. Help me get my heart and mind set for those truths that are coming my way. Show me what You will be exposing me to. Prepare me for those things that I will need to be open to. Reveal what You are going to be talking to me about, so I can cooperate with You all during my devotions.

Jesus, as I read the text portion of my devotion for the day, help me see how to apply it to my day. You know what I will be facing and can get me ready for all those things that will be challenging me. Rather than me having to face things, as they come, get me ready and have me prepared to handle my day with skill, power, knowledge, and love.

Jesus, as I go day-by-day through these devotions, let great things happen to me. Speak wonderful truths into my life. Even if I don’t immediately see growth and change, help me know You are changing me. Help me become a much improved person in my experiences in life. I allow You to take me through these devotions, so I can spend a life-transforming time with You. You are building a relationship with me that will change my entire life.

Jesus, help me see that the more You changes me, my thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds, the more benefits I will be experiencing that I wouldn’t typically get . Show me that Devotions With Jesus is exactly that! You and I are spending time together in a special way. You are exposing me to those things that help me grow in my relationship with You. Those things You caused to be written in His Bible will be flowing into my eyes and ears. I will get to know You in a relational way that helps me want to keep spending more time with You.
