Looking At The Big Picture
Letting Jesus Show You His Plan
Having daily devotions is like eating physical food everyday. You are feeding your inner, spiritual person. You, as a spirit being, need spiritual food just as much and actually more than your body does. If you, as a spirit person, don’t get fed GOOD spiritual food everyday, you will make many more mistakes, fail in many more areas, and make many more bad decisions. Your thoughts and emotions will struggle much more. And, you will have a day of having to make your decisions without much help from God. Where Should You Be Going?
When you are running your own life without spending time with Jesus, you are only doing those things you think you should be doing. This is your first time on this planet; this is your first time for being a human; and, this is your first time being a child of God. People who are also on this planet for the first time, are writing, teaching, and counselling you from their “experiences.” They may be more confident and have more world training than you do; but, they are still here for the first time just like you are. Jesus is the Creator of the universe, the Creator of humans, and your Creator. Plus, He came down to earth and lived life before you. He is the ONLY expert on life and how to live as a human successfully. So, let Jesus set you a life pattern that will make you a winner at life BEFORE you end up learning things the hard way. Here Is How Life REALLY Works
James 4:1-2 (NIV) What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don’t get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, BECAUSE you do not ask God. This Scripture from the Bible is describing what is happening to every person who is leaving God and His Bible out of their lives. Even those who are writing books and speaking authoritatively as “experts,” are missing out on what life is really about. Many have all kinds of THINGS but don’t have what it takes to be happy and successful. Jesus wants to head you in the direction of true meaning, purpose, fulfillment, and happiness. What Would You
Like Jesus To Do For You? Before you make any decisions about Devotions With Jesus, ask Jesus to help you answer some very important questions. These devotions can only be helpful, if they are responding to the desires of your heart.
